MOLCAD GmbH
The MOLCAD GmbH is a research and development organisation that is involved in the development of new methods in the fields of molecular graphics, molecular modeling, and molecular simulations. We focus on the development of new application-oriented techniques, that address the above mentioned research areas, providing new tools for fundamental research as well as for useful applications in industry. Furthermore, MOLCAD GmbH is interested in the provision of positions for young researchers. Therefore a corporate research unit between MOLCAD GmbH and Darmstadt University of Technology was created - Molcad Net. In addition, MOLCAD GmbH cooperates with a series of research groups in universities and public research institutes.
Some of the tools for molecular graphics and molecular modeling developed at MOLCAD GmbH are incorporated in the business activities of the company Tripos, Inc., St. Louis, USA, one of the market leaders in this area.
